Hello

I am glad to see your excitement and determination to make your dreams come true. It is a strength that can help you to accomplish anything that you want in life. My suggestion would be to start talking to your school guidance counselor and contacting some culinary schools and asking about scholarship opportunities. You are still young but there is no time like the present to start on the path to your dreams.

You might also talk to your local bakery and see if they have an apprenticeship program or possibly volunteer to help out if for nothing more than the experience in actually seeing how a true bakery operates and flows. I would say do everything in your power to learn all that you can about your passion so you can excel in everything that your heart is set on doing.

I wish you the best

Hello Abigail

I am not sure the area that you live in but I am sure there are some schools near you that could get you started in the field. Have you talked to your schools guidance counselor? Being only a sophomore you do have time to do plenty of research and even apply for some scholarships. If it is truly your dream to become a pastry chef then you can do it. There is nothing stopping you. Keiko has some good ideas and videos that can help you to improve your skills in the process as well. Check out her site here. You can also follow the link in the sidebar banner and search for schools in or around your area and request information.

I hope this helps you.
